Abstract

THE STUDY OF THE CAUSE and prevention of postoperative complications is the duty of any member of a surgical team. Involvement of the respiratory tract after operation has been of particular interest to anesthetists. A great deal of our knowledge concerning factors involved in the development of pulmonary complications has been contributed by anesthetists.
