A Simplified Technique of Anesthesia and Surgery for Impacted Third Molars.*

M. Hillel Feldman, D.D.S.**

Anesthetist, New York, N. Y. Chief of Dental Department of Lincoln Hospital, New York City; Instructor in General Anesthesia for the Allied Dental Council, New York City.

Abstract

IN PRESENTING to this organization a technique for the removal of tooth impactions under general anesthesia I have in mind a procedure which by its simplification has made it possible for those who have taken up the work to spare themselves the expenditure of much physical and mental stress and their patients a lessened amount of anesthetic and surgical shock resulting from shortening the operative period. Any technique which makes these principles its aim should, I belive, be given a hearing, and I appreciate the privilege accorded me by your illustrious leader, Dr. F. Hoeffer McMechan.
