The Legal Position of Surgeons, Anesthetists, Hospitals and Nurses.*

The Honorable William Renwick Riddell, LL.D., D.C.L.

Toronto, Canada. Justice of Appeal, Ontario, and President Canadian Social Hygiene Council.

Abstract

I HAVE ASKED to address the Society upon the above question; and I accede to the request with great raft it helps much toward peace of mind and consequently toward efficiency for a professional man to know precisely where he stands in regard to legal responsibility to those with whom he has to deal: such knowledge, then, should be possessed by every one in any profession.
