The Contribution of Anesthetists to Inhalational Therapy.*

Abstract

NEARLY TWENTY YEARS AGO, as chairman of one of the sections at a meeting of the American Medical Association, I proclaimed my faith in an address entitled "Clinical Physiology Opportunity and a Duty." In that address I showed that it is often more than a generation after a fundamental physiological discovery is made before it is applied and utilized clinically.
