IMPLICATIONS: This case report shows that atelectasis of the left lunginduced by extrinsic compression of the left main bronchus by an aortic aneurysm and persisting despite aggressive conservative treatmentmay be effectively treated by bronchial stenting and high-frequency percussive ventilation.
