In the paper entitled "The Synergistic Interaction Between Midazolamand Clonidine in Spinally-Mediated Analgesia in Two DifferentPain Models of Rats" by Nishiyama and Hanaoka (Anesth Analg2001; 93:1025–31), it should have been noted that thedata concerning clonidine alone and midazolam alone were basedon previously published data in "The Analgesic Interaction BetweenIntrathecal Clonidine and Glutamate Receptor Antagonists" (AnesthAnalg 2001; 92:725–32) and in "Synergistic Analgesic Effectsof Intrathecal Midazolam" (Canadian Journal of Anesthesia 2001;48:288–94). The authors regret this oversight.
