• Impalement_clip - Inadvertent impalement (Femoral_Impalement.mov) and intraneural injection (Femoral_Intraneural.mov) during femoral nerve block in the inguinal region imaged with short axis (transverse cross-sectional) ultrasound scans. The femoral nerve (Femoral Nerve, Outlined) is shown impaled by a 22-gauge blunt Quincke tip needle (Solid Line) with the needle tip (Needle Tip) appearing at the underside of the nerve. The location of intraneural injection is indicated (X). Large tickmarks are spaced 10 mm.
