Professional Interests
My particular clinical interests include regional anesthesia and pain management. I have a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pain Management. Research interests are in three areas. I have investigated the anatomy of the neuraxis using cryomicrotome section, histological techniques and in vivo imaging. Secondly, I have examined the physiology of neuraxial anesthesia in the whole animal setting. Finally, I am exploring the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain at the level of the primary sensory neurons, using electrophysiological, microfluorimetric, and histological techniques.
