Professional Interests
My academic interests are in the area of clinical pharmacology of anesthetic drugs. I have been interested in the management of postoperative nausea and vomiting and pain and the use of pharmacological agents as well as acupuncture for reducing these postoperative symptoms. I am also interested in hemodynamic monitoring and fluid administration strategies for improving postoperative outcome of surgical patients.

Conflicts of Interest
Within the past 5 years, I have received grant support and/or honoraria from Alexza, Baxter, Biotime, Edwards Lifesciences, GSK, Hospira, Merck, MGi, Pfizer, Roche and Xsira.
